The article remarks on research relating to "positive psychology" which suggests 24 areas of character strength that schools could build on. Linking academic achievement with enrichment outside the classroom seems an ideal scenario. (Researchers include Angela Duckworth, Martin Seligman, David Levin and Dominic Randolph.) Schools are encouraged to develop pupils' creativity as well as personal and moral intelligence.
