Teaching is not good enough in 4 out of 10 schools. Inspectors cite the quality of teaching in English schools is "still too variable". The annual report from the schools' watchdog claimed that below-par schools relied too much on worksheets and a narrow range of textbooks.Click this link for the full report.
Links were also made between weak teaching and poor behaviour.
Ofsted said that deprivation continued to be a "significant factor influencing the quality of schools".
